What makes you feel strong?
Really? A savings account. I left a terrible marriage awhile back and that was the difference somedays between knowing I could do it and giving up and going back. Also, after years of using food to cope with my emotions, I sorted that out through therapy, and my mind is stronger than ever. I now use yoga and hiking daily instead, and am actually, physically, strong as well. That makes me feel really good.
What was your last piece of nourishment?
I went away with a friend to NYC last week. It was nourishing to miss my people here in MSP. And we ate at Blue Hill, which isn't too shabby as far as actual nourishment goes.
What do you grow?
I'm a Mom, so I'm working hard on growing emotionally open (self-identified) boys. I want them to be vulnerable, present partners in work, friendship and love, and that's everything, as far as I'm concerned.
Also, strawberries, that said boys gave me for Mother's Day.
